OneTap Movies is a mobile application powered by Avantar, LLC’s OneTap™ technology. It recognizes where you are and shows you results of several movie theaters beginning with the one nearest to you, all with OneTap of your finger and nothing else. Results include movie theaters, titles, times, critic ratings (stars), movie ratings (PG, R, etc.), ready-to-play movie trailers, and an interactive map with driving directions to each theater. You can also quickly sort your results by theaters, movie popularity, star ratings, newest movies, and you can also change your default location.
All of this information is available to you by a single OneTap of your finger. And if you want read more information about each movie, for your convenience, we also link each movie directly to IMDb (Internet Movie Database).

What do I do if my app crashes a lot?
Sometimes apps crash. Two things:
1) To fix OneTap Movies, remove it from your phone and your computer. Then reinstall it to both your device and computer, and sync your iPhone or iPod Touch. You will not be charged for doing this as long as you use the same account that you originally got it with. We called a user and troubleshooted him over the phone and found a way to correct this problem. If you're still experiencing problems after this solution, please email us and we'll get in touch with you to fix this problem. We want to make everyone happy. We apologize again, and ask that if you left an unfavorable review in the App Store, that you edit it for us. Those reviews in the App Store matter a great deal to us developers. You're the best.
2) If you have problems with crashing, we ask that instead of prematurely pointing fingers at the developers, that you consider the root of the problem first. A lot of apps crash because of the iPhone’s firmware. Maybe you have experienced this with Safari crashing or other native apps? Sometimes the crashing is due to the app, but a lot of the time, Apple’s iPhone firmware is at fault. This point is explained (despite being outdated) by Steve Jobs at Apple Insider. Another great source is an article on MacWorld. We ask that instead of docking valuable review stars in the App Store, that you contact the developer and be kind in your reviews. Sometimes it is out of our control. Thank you!
How do the favorite theaters work?
The favorite theaters feature of OneTap Movies allows you to choose which theaters show at the top of your results. By simply tapping the star to the left of the map icon, you select a theater as a favorite. After that, any time that theater appears in your results, it will show at the top of the list.
Why does OneTap Movies sometimes take a long time to load?
OneTap Movies™ provides movie listings based on your current location. Depending on your location, and the amount of theaters hear your location, this information takes a few seconds longer to retrieve. We are working on improvements in the next version of OneTap Movies that will allow the application to store your location information between searches. This will reduce the time it takes to load as you do multiple searches in one day from the same location.
Why is this theater's address incorrect?
We are constantly working to maintain the most accurate theater information. Unfortunately, sometimes a theater's address gets entered into our database incorrectly. We would appreciate if you would contact us and let us know of the error. Please provide the theater's name, city, and address if possible.
Why does the map say my start location is 0.00000, 0.00000?
When you close OneTap Movies, your last search is saved so that next time you open the application you can quickly see the results. Your location is not saved, though, and will default to 0.00000, 0.00000. You can reset the location in OneTap Movies by going to the location preferences and choosing either “Current” or “Other” then clicking “Change.”
Why is my location incorrect?
OneTap Movies relies on the geolocation capabilities of your iPhone™ or iPod® touch to provide the movie results as close to you as possible. In order to provide the fastest search, OneTap Movies will accept the first location provided by your device. This may be a location provided by your device's IP address, from cell phone towers, or through the iPhone 3G's GPS capability.
If you find that your location is inaccurate, you may change the location manually in the settings of the application. In addition, you can obtain more accurate location information by first opening the Maps application and allowing the phone to find your location as accurately as possible. This information will then be provided to OneTap Movies the next time you open it.
Why doesn’t a certain theater show in my results?
It is possible that some theaters are not listing their show time information. While we are striving to obtain the most comprehensive movie search information, unfortunately we cannot get information for every movie theater. We are constantly working to expand our database to include as many theaters as possible.
Why am I getting no results when I open the application?
First, check that your Internet signal is strong. If the application loads with a screen showing no movie information, it is possible that the geo-location feature for your mobile device was unable to obtain your current location. Often this can be resolved by manually entering your current location. Do this by tapping the location button in the lower-right corner of the application and entering a city and state or just the zip code, then clicking “Change” or “Make default.”
Will OneTap Movies work internationally?
Currently, OneTap Movies' geolocation service is designed for use in the United States. It is possible to get movie listings for some international locations including cities in Australia, Canada, and the UK, currently only by manually entering the location in the location menu of the application. We are constantly working to enhance the international capabilities of our geolocation feature. Please be patient with us while we improve these features.
How can I get OneTap Movies working on my iPod touch?
First, please make sure that your iPod has a strong Internet connection. If you have a good connection, then you can change your location by manually entering your current location. Do this by tapping the location button in the lower-right corner of the application and entering a city and state or zip code. After entering your location, click the "Change" or "Make default" button. OneTap Movies will then search from your entered location.
